Who is an oromyofunctional therapist? Why do we need them?
Everybody awares of the need of physical therapy before/after surgeries on bones, joints or muscles.
Everybody knows we need to work out regularly in order to stay in a good shape!
Same with teeth and jaws! You go through any orthodontic changes in your mouth? Your facial and mouth muscles need to be re-trained to accommodate those changes!
You or your child out of shape of correct swallowing, breathing or/ and speaking? How would you know? Ask your dentist!
The way your child swallows, breathes and speaks may affect his / her jaw’s development , teeth postion and overall well-being! Your dentist or myofunctional therapist can evaluate all of those important functions.
Oromyofunctional therapist is your personal coach for correct swallowing, breathing and speaking! If your dentist recommends to work with myofunctional therapist- please follow that advice! You won’t regret it!
Nowdays you can work with them regardless of a distance. My daughter is bilingual ???? but still prefers to speak Russian and she works with Myofunctional Therapist Tatyana Tsukor from Moscow, Russia ??over a phone!
My older children work with local myofunctional therapist Kara Shepard Pfister and distally with Stacey Fletcher from Arkansas! No access limits!
Have a great weekend!
